We're also finding out this year that it's possible to win with a bunch of injuries. That was an excuse. The staff did a poor job those first 2 years. They've gotten better.
I think the first two years Lou was dealing with Marvin’s players, and some of them just didn’t fit into his vision of defense or were reluctant to. It took a few seasons to reshape things so he could run schemes the way he wanted.
