The Bengals were locked into multiple large contracts to aging and declining vets not to mention Andy Dalton was the paid starter. The one offensive weapon was aging been injured for a couple years and in line for a Tag or Contract. The Bengals had an small infamous front office with little fan outreach and a reputation for being cheap and slightly hardheaded in free agency.
That 2019 season was almost as magical as the 2021 season because that LSU season is kinda tied to it. Even though the Bengals were losing everyone was pointing at Joe Burrow smiling saying "That's the Future".
Right, I don't understand how people don't get this. Most of the roster was nearing or in its 30s and getting paid handsomely. A lot of people just can't admit they were wrong about these guys I guess.
