2023 DB Draft Prospects Group Assessment
#3
Instead of doing an analysis post for CB & Safety, I will do the numbers for each spot first. Other than stating the obvious at safety, which is that it is the position goup with the most uncertainty. Both starters are FA's, as is Special Teams captain Michael Thomas. We assume D. Hill will start next year, but he got more snaps in the slot than at safety. And two reserves we do have under contract (B. Wilson & draft pick Tycen Anderson), spent the whole year on IR/PUP. Here we go:

Position Group #3: Safety

I. 2022 Roster Status
Currently on 53 = 4.
Currently on IR/PUP = 2.
Currently on PS = 1.
-----------------
Current Starters: Bell, Bates
Rostered Reserves: D. Hill, Thomas
IR/PUP: B. Wilson, Anderson
Practice Squad: Corker
-------------

II. 2023 Roster Status

A. Signed = 3. Cap Hit; Dead Cap; FA Year/Type

1. D. Hill (S3/Slot2, Reserve); $2,651,594; $9,545,748; 2026 TO/'27
2. B. Wilson (S5/KR, Reserve); $2,000,000; $0; 2024 UFA
3. T. Anderson (S6, Reserve); $946,521; $229,563; 2026 UFA
------------

B. Unsigned = 3. 2022 Cap Hit; FA Type

1. J. Bates (FS, Starter); $12,911,000 (Franchise Tag); UFA
2. V. Bell (SS, Starter): $7,488,235; UFA
3. M.Thomas (S4, Reserve): $1,120,000; UFA
