Let Mixon walk and resign Samaje to hammer between the tackles.
Gibbs may be too small to hold up in pass pro but he’d be an absolutely lethal safety valve for Joe. Would eliminate some of those five up plays we had Sunday. Teams have to play Chase and Higgins safe so the flats and short yardage stuff should be there. Gibbs has elite acceleration and change of direction as well as pass catching ability.
I envision him being used as a Brian Westbrook/Marshall Faulk type back. Those guys were part of all time offenses and so can Gibbs.
We are at the stage where an impact starter could put us over the top, and I don’t see any other ones being there at 28 like an o lineman or elite corner or linebacker. Go Gibbs and get depth later
Bengals need RBs who can pass block.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
