Swapping Jonah wasn't so much about the cap relief, but more the age.
Jonah is 5 years younger than Bolles, so he has (much) more career ahead of him.

Bolles potentially won't be playing when the Broncos are actually ready to contend again.
Bolles would be better on a team that's ready to win now, like the Bengals.
