That was Katie Blackburn talking and did not hear all that love or assurance in her voice. She definitely brought up his issues as well, which certainly could have changed the opinion of the family.
Maybe they were able to forgive him for cold cocking a woman in college but now a thug pattern seems to be emerging swaying their opinion.
