Haha...the Lamar case is interesting all around. He's a league MVP, but due to his playing style you have to build a team around him that's not traditional. And I think teams are leery of that. Well leery enough to not fully guarantee a deal.

The real difficulty for the Ravens has been the past couple years not having a good enough QB to get the team enough wins after Jackson has gone down to injury each year.

Ravens with Jackson at QB:
2021 - 7-5
2022 - 8-4

With other QBs starting:
2021 - 0-5
2022 - 2-3

So not only do you have to build the offense around Jackson, you need a backup QB who can be about the same level as him too because he hasn't been able to stay on the field. QBs like Jackson aren't abundant, and the team isn't going to completely morph the offense one way for Jackson and another way for the backup QB.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
