I call this the "Collarbone QB". One of the only situations (maybe the only one?) where it might matter who's stepping in. Because if Joey B gets any other injury that forces him to sit for an extended period (e.g., knee, concussion, illness, etc.), he probably shouldn't come back anyway and you might as well tank the season. Or just call up Chad to do the honors and have some fun with it.
I know there are a few other cases- like where he might need to go to the locker room for an equipment issue or under the tent for a minute or two- but every team has an emergency playbook to handle those. I wouldn't be drafting (or signing guys off the street) for them. This team begins and ends with Burrow. Yes it's a defeatist philosophy but whatever. Nick Foles, Jeff Hostetler... they succeeded because their teams were already looking past their QB1s to some extent. The Bengals aren't, and won't be for the foreseeable future. I'm cool with it.
