Bates had games where that bolded was true.  However at the same time, we should not remember him only for a couple of mistakes, either.  The truth lies in his body of work, which earned him a very lucrative contract in Atlanta.  Fact is, I wish he was still a Bengal, though I understand the economics of the situation.
