You are incorrect in falling down would have iced the game.  Steelers had all three timeouts, most likely we take a knee, we kick a FG and Steelers would still receive the kickoff with probably a minute to go.  Now a long shot they would score but it has happen before with less than a minute to go in the NFL,  we needed a 1st down to pretty much ice the game
