If we have extra $$ to spend after the Burrow, Higgins, & Wilson deals, then maybe. But I'd think IOL, TE, or CB (Apple) would all rate higher than RB for me as a priority for extra $$.
I think Elliott could easily be a Mixon replacement after adjusting to the offense.
Both guys about the same size (although I think Mixon is smaller than Elliott now), speed (both were sub-4.5 when being drafted at 225+ lb), both are good pass catchers, both have been called upon to have 20+ touches a game many seasons.
The difference is Elliott is a better pass blocker, and he's just 1 year older than Mixon(albeit many, many more carries over his career).
If the cost of Mixon's dead cap + Elliott signing is about the same as just keeping Mixon though, it's probably just safer to roll with Mixon even if Zeke is a better pass blocker.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
