NuMetal had a slew of good bands.

"Grunge" is a hodge podge of bands that have nothing in common musically.

I'd venture to say that often Alt Rock gets tossed into the fake genre that manufactured the Grunge title.

Like I said before.  "Grunge" was an anti-fashion fashion and not so much a music type.
