We had been told by Taylor it was a vague "several weeks," which could be 4, it could be 8, we don't fully know.

It doesn't matter what anyone's opinion is on this matter or any other matter for when someone THINKS something will happen. It will happen if/when it happens.
It is possible she heard “do you think” instead of “do they think”, but then she went on to explain what the Bengals think. Not what she thought. Based upon her answer, I think she heard the question correctly.
