The David Bell effect. The Angels still ended up using 1 less pitcher than the Reds did that game.

Good to get a win, but now you have game 2 and have already pitched Gibault, Farmer, Young, and Law. Need Richardson to go deep tonight. His 3.0 IP from last start would be a killer.

Still have no idea why they don't have/use a long relief guy on the staff. Final 3 innings of a game where you have a 5 run lead would have been a great time to save Gibault and Law for Game 2.
