To properly utilize the "emergency" QB rule, the team needs to carry the 3rd QB on the 53 roster. I just do not see that happening with the Bengals. Too many other position groups need/deserve the extra roster spot.
They can bring up a QB from the PS for game day and make him the emergency QB but PS players can only be brought up 3 times per season without being signed to the 53. It doesn't seem logical to use that option on the oft chance the team loses 2 QBs in a single game. If by chance that does happen, Tyler Boyd is the presumed emergency QB...or at least he used to be. Do we have any other players who have ever played QB?
I thought Collins would go on reserve/pup and be available after the fourth game. I think Sieman is on the 53 but switched out on Gameday. I don’t see 4 RB or TE on the 53.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
