I don't know what connotations the term conveys to others, but I think generally it is a very pejorative term. Standard definitions of the term worrying is -- well, let's use the Wikipedia definition -- "worry refers to the thoughts, images, emotions, and actions of a negative nature in a repetitive, uncontrollable manner." It is generally a term used to convey mental distress.Of course, it is. The funniest thing is folks posting to say they're not worried.
I doubt many posters are in mental distress over the Burrow or HIggin's contract. But they're fans. They have an interest because they know this is a zero sum accounting situation, where the more that Burrow or Higgens gets the less money there will be for the rest of the payroll. Now, if the contracts were going to impact their own financial livelihood, you know, results in taking money out of their own pockets, then the term worrying would probably be accurate. But probably the only time any posters think about these contracts is when they visit Jungle Noise.
