the planets are not procedurally generated... Some of the Events/locations when you land on the planets are though. Handcrafted locations i believe show up when you scan a planet... And the Random ones will be the ones that only show up after you land.

Embracer who recently shuttered Volition (Saints Row) has made it known its looking to sell Gearbox (Borderlands)
Ohhh and the Unity Team (engine many indie devs use) is changing their model to charge per game install. This has caused major backlash from devs and games like Cult of The Lamb will be deleted on Jan 1st rather than pay this new fee.
So if you are looking at that one dont wait to long to pick it up or its gonna be gone for the foreseeable future unless something changes.
Oh and IPhone 5 has announced some newer games will be available for it Like AC Mirage / Re Village / Re 4 remake
