Everyone bitching about "scheme" and "play calling" just kills me. This offense was actually pretty damn good last year under a healthy Burrow.
The main reason they suck this year is because Burrow can't move. He can't run, can't scramble, navigate the pocket, or extend plays. Extending plays is his best attribute (along with accuracy).
Should the offense be so entirely dependent on Joe Burrow being able to do everything normal though?
What happens when the offense needs to adapt?
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
