Keep in mind that this is going off a $240 mil cap estimate, which is on the conservative side. Some are predicting the cap to go as high as $256 mil.
As an example of what structure can do, Orlando Brown signed a deal worth $16 mil APY this past off-season and his cap hit this year is only $10. Mike McGlinchey signed a deal with a $17.5 mil AAY and his 2023 cap hit was $6 million. Jason Hargrave and Jawaan Taylor both got deals worth north of $20 mil AAV with $6 mil cap hits. You can do a lot with structure.
Brockers is my Burrows, lol. Total brain fart. Thanks for the heads up.
I will get into write ups on the Day 3 guys when I get some time. I was pressed for time when posting this.
I think it was the structure of this sentence that made me think you were saying $70 mill AFTER FA:
Quote:After FA, I'm currently sitting at $79.5 estimated AAV and had $70 in cap space
Now that I reread it again, I see you meant $70 mill before and then $79.5 mill AAV for the new guys added, but will have to play cap structure games to make sure everyone fits within the cap for 2024.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
