Having a LB who can play on 3rd downs and passing situations isn't a terrible idea. Assuming that they can get Isiah Simmons on the cheap!
As with Pratt, his 2022 was good too. Plenty of splash plays and some key turnovers. He doesn't have the injury excuse. He needs to switch his mentality to tackle-first and start wrapping guys up.
I'm willing to believe there is some credibility to our LBs having to "babysit" the secondary this year and it effected their play. Toss in the front 4-5's lack of QB pressure or RB TFLs outside of Hendrickson too. If the defensive front can't keep offensive linemen from reaching the second level with any kind of consistency, the LBs become much less effective.
