To continue the conversation, I think there is a ceiling to how much a TE is worth to a team vs. a WR, QB, etc. (no duh). Still confused why anyone would choose one in the first half of the first round (Detroit, Atlanta). Same with ILB, seems like teams are super quick to part even with all-pros.
It is pretty clear you can consistently get a starter/high performer if you are smart about drafting in the 2nd/3rd round.
But I agree with what others have said here, the group of TE don't seem exciting this year.
