I think the key to Jimmy Graham was Sean Payton (and Drew Brees).

Graham, even including his weak rookie year, averaged 1,036 yards and 11 TDs per 17 games in his 5 seasons with the Saints.
Graham in the next 5 seasons averaged 710 yards and 5 TDs per 17 games.
