The only way it makes a lick of sense is if JJ told them he is gone next year no matter what. 

All true, the only way is if JJ wants out of there to play with a good QB and we all know who his favorite is, which gives this any reality.

Maybe if Burrow gave up some of his contract it would help, but yeah, I doubt they take that much of a discount as both are
