The only mistake that the Bengals made with Hayden Hurst was not drafting a suitable replacement since it was obvious that he was in Cincy to revive his career and was looking to move on and make big money. Hurst, Devin Asiasi, Nick Eubanks and Tanner Hudson were their 2022 TEs.
I say that they should still draft a 3rd or 4th round TE.
Gesicki
3rd or 4th round rookie

Hudson - if he's signed.
They wanted La Porta in the second round but Detroit shrewdly picked him earlier. After that there was a big drop off and nobody they liked was ever there. You don’t reach just to fill a spot. The Bengals are like the poker player who rarely loses after a night of poker but never leaves the big winner. But Hudson & Sample with Gesicki is an upgrade from previous years. Gaseski will be huge on the seam route with safeties concerned with Tee & Chase and Redzone. He’s also a matchup issue in the slot in replace of Boyd.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence."
