In reality, the big, oversized 0 tech becomes a liability in passing situations in what's becoming more and more a passing league, doesn't offer much to help you against dual threat QB's that teams are relying on generate rush yardage, and they get gassed quickly and need to be subbed out often.
That leads us to a point where you have to look at your return on investment when spending your premium draft capital and decide if you're better off spending it on a guy that will play 60% of the snaps at best, or a guy who will play 70-80-90-100% at a different position.
Weather you see paying a NT as a good value or not, the division that we play in pretty much demands that we have and use one versus their offenses if we want to have any chance of competing with them.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations
