I think people put way too much emphasis on this "conservative" theme.
If the Bengals are up by 2 TDs in the second half and the Steelers aren't moving the ball, they better be taking 30+ seconds off the clock on EVERY play. You don't let a team have multiple chances to get their offense moving in the right direction.
It's not being conservative, it's called being smart. There's no reason why this team can't run the ball or run short passes against this shitty Steeler's D. Eifert alone should be a huge difference maker in taking time of the clock.
