Many were super concerned with the pitching after last year, but it's the hitting that has really fallen off.
And that's not overly surprising with so many fresh faces last season.

McLain is on the mend, but the other young guys just aren't cutting it.
EDLC has the best average of guys with 100+ ABs at just .260.
Stephenson, Candelario, and India aren't even at .240.

Let's actually give some credit to the starting rotation, as Greene, Lodolo, and Abbot all are sub-3.5 ERA.
Ashcraft and Montas under 4.5.

Bullpen has not been lights out, but there's room for improvement there as some guys come back from injury (hopefully).

The big losing streak has really put the Reds in a tough spot, but if they bounce back going into the ASB, maybe a trade for a bat and/or RP could make sense.
Reds are 25th in payroll at $100 mill, which is about $20-30 mill lower than previous years, so they should have some opportunity to pick up some additional costs later in the year.
