We're missing Friedl, McClain, Marte, and CES. It's just to early in their careers to throw in the towel. Elly is balling, Steer will recover (hopefully)
What's need is new ownership and management. Somebody who doesn't live in the laptop stats and knows how to manage, Somebody who won't bench Fraley and bat a guy hitting .150 3rd.
But this season is already toast barring a miracle.
If Bell was really living in the laptop stats, he'd not bat a guy 3rd who is hitting .150 lol.
With the injuries you listed, a few of their lineup spots are pretty bad.
Ideally, we want the IF to be Stephenson, CES, McLain, EDLC, Marte.
And we want the OF to be Steer, Friedl, Fraley.
Then you have India, Candelario, Benson, Fairchild, Maile, and Martini as bench.
Any prospects looking like they're about ready to make the jump this year into the majors other than some pitchers?
Lookin at their Top 30 prospects, the guys closest to the bigs who aren't pitchers are Hinds and Dunn, although neither is hitting for average.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
