In the two deep postseason runs, the Bengals were 5th and 7th in rushing yards allowed. 13th and 9th in yards per attempt.
Last year though, they were 26th in rushing yards allowed, 30th in yards per attempt.
The run defense will also need to be solid for 2024 if the Bengals are going to be a Super Bowl contender again, IMO.
True, it was bad last year stopping the run. Hopefully Lou gets this Defense to where they are communicating, taking better angles, tackling
better and gang tackling with a lot of guys flying to the ball on run Defense. The Offense being on the field more and scoring more points
should also help as teams might abandon the run earlier playing catch up. We will see, definitely need to see some major changes.
