Rudi apparently didn't realize that correlation doesn't always imply causation.
Teams run the ball more when they're ahead, which makes it appear as if a RB getting 20+ touches causes a team to be more successful. Really, the increased touches are often more of a byproduct of success.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
