Being the defending National Champions and coming off of a 12-1 season with a Fiesta Bowl win and an offensive domination against Notre Dame speaks for itself. So does a 49-37 win over MSU at home, in reasonable weather, during the championship run that also saw a Buckeye victory over the Crimson Tide.

A team that as of now has had nine underclassmen declare for the draft with several projected to be gone in the first 3-4 rounds.
