Which is his career high in his age 29 season (and only 4 CS). His previous career high was 26 SB (with 10 CS) in '21.

Again, 41 was the MLB SB lead in 2022, so Ohtani turns 29 and "suddenly" becomes "capable" of stealing more bases than anyone in 2022 could.

I'm not saying EDLC couldn't have led the league in SB in 2022 if the current him played then. I am just saying he'd finish in the 40s, not the 60s.
