Hill and Rankins get the start with Jenkins, Carter, and Tufele backing them up and in the rotation.
This might be Carter's last season to try to make a name for himself on the team.
Across 33 games and 896 defensive snaps, he has only 5 total pressures, per pro-football-reference.com
Although PFF has given him credit for more hurries (15) and 17 total pressures.
Regardless though, that's very low for that many snaps.
His forte was supposed to be penetration, as shown from his 17.5 sacks and 26.0 TFLs in 3 years in college.
Both Tufele and Carter sucked last year. We should add someone here if neither can improve and I was a big Tufele fan when we brought
him in and he made some nice plays when Reader went out. But these 2 were not good at all last year besides a couple of plays.
