Alexander may have been pushing Carman, but so was Willie Anderson. Someone want to hack on Big Willie as well? Carman had the tools, he just didn't have the heart to do what it took at this level.
I know for a fact inside the building that not everyone was on board with the pick and this lead to tempered animosity over the last couple of years. Carmen was not well respected by all his teammates. I never heard anyone say they didn't like Jackson, but his work ethic was not close to acceptable.
