Why is our line great pass blockers but poor run blockers
#10
Two reasons:
1) Lack of identity, specifically true go-to plays. We run inside zone, power doubles/duos and quick traps - but majority are out of shotgun. We do utilize outside zones and some pulls from behind center, but not often.
2) We are a pass first Team. I know it sounds insane, given that majority of our first down plays are runs.

I don't feel that we are better at pass blocking vs. run blocking. It is more related to scheme.

Our O-Line is not making a living 5 yards passed the line of scrimmage like the O-lines in the 80s. But we are not a power run Team and are not asking our guys to be one.
