Sorry, but no, it's not. It was mentioned by Lapham on his podcast, as well as the guys on Sirius NFL Radio. People that close to the teams and league don't just "make stuff up". If nothing has been written about it, it's likely because that sort of "apology" is likely in the form of a phone call rather than a written press release.
