If we see any future publicized article where the NFL is talking about overturning a call from a prior game, we should consider why nothing was written about this play that had game changing consequences.
What would it help. If they Bengals announced something, it would just look like sour grapes from a losing team. If the league announced it, it just makes their referees look more inept than normal. They are not going to overturn the score. There is not going to be a news conference or public statement made, it serves no purpose.
