Also it's pretty easy to make the game close by making it seem like the reffing is fair - until the end. I'm not saying we didn't commit a penalty, I'm saying the refs seem to help the Chiefs win at the end. Not just in our games lol
Last year it happened with the Browns in back to back games, at the end of the game they gave back to back penalties in the endzone that were either ticky tack or non existent. NFL was on a mission to let the Browns win for some reason! Giving the browns the ball on the 1st and 1 with Chubb is an automatic win. The first call IIRC, the browns QB threw it way out of the endzone, 10 yards up and out, and the defender - while the ball was in the air - committed incidental contact. The ball was being thrown away and THEN the "penalty" occurred! Same game time they gave Pickett a first down and a win on a 4th and 1 run that went for 0.5 yards, at the end of the game. Clearly not a first down, why did they do this? Lol
Whatever they do earlier in the game is smoke and mirrors lol. Steelers always with a winning record, possible but improbable.
The missed extra point loomed large. As did the Burrow fumble.
But, yeah the call at end is the most visible thing.
Kickers got to make extra points. How often does that missed extra point come back to cost a game? Seems like a lot.
