But, even considering that things are set up nicely for them to go on a four-game winning streak heading into the Cleveland game. Add a win at Cleveland and it will be pandemonium here.
Fans should be pissed that the team starts poorly every single year. 1 and 9 the past five years in the first two games. Or is it 1 and 11 the past six years? I think this may be an NFL record. This means the coaching staff does not have them ready. And losing early like this, especially AFC games, means it is a tough road to get home games in the playoffs.
Not to compare apples to oranges, but Andy Reid has his teams ready at the start of every season. Zac Taylor does not have his teams ready at the start of the season.
Hurrah for losing a close one this week against a quality opponent. The teams is still 0 and 2 to start yet another year. Is anyone going to hold Zac Taylor's feet to the fire for not having his teams ready on day 1 of the season and needing a couple of games to get started?
I like Zac Taylor and am sure he will turn this around. But these continual slow starts mean little margin for error. And if no one holds his feet to the fire for these poor starts every year, and just look how he does later on, he will continue the same failed preseason plans.
