For instance, last year, CeeDee Lamb had a four-game stretch of 151, 191, 158, and 117. I'd call that a four-game stretch of elite numbers.
His next four games were 49, 36, 53, and 143. Over those eight weeks, he averaged 112 yards per game, but I wouldn't call it an eight-game stretch of "putting elite numbers together."
It's almost like that if you put up elite numbers for a stretch of games, DC's focus on taking you away. Then it falls on your teammates making plays to force them out of the constant double teams or your OC has to get creative to get the ball in the hands of his best playmaker.
