If Francona is in good health, he's immediately at the top of the list, and it's not close. He's mentioned wanting to return to managing before. This talent crop is very likely to be around for under 5 years. Can Terry stay healthy for five years, right the ship, then hand the job off to a readymade assistant/heir? Idk, but if the answer is a yes or even a strong maybe, then he's the guy.
I'd be good with Skip, but I think we'll have a lot of competition for his services.

I'd give Larkin a shot, but it doesn't feel right. Barry is great, but I question his bona fides as a clubhouse stabilizer. I've never really forgiven Larkin and Griffey for running McKeon out of town. Again, 11 is a legend, but he had a bad reputation for being pretty high maintenance as a player. To me, this is a recipe for yet another player's manager.
