I'm open to being wrong, but if our FO does anything other than nothing at the trade deadline and doesn't let Tee walk for a 19th round conditional pick I'll be amazed. Our front office has gotten away with doing nothing and then shrugging and saying "Welp...sorry fans, I guess he just didn't really like the Bengals as much as you do. Are we gonna miss that diva? No way, right!?"
We want players who want to be here so badly that they'll gladly accept a front office that sits on its proverbial ass because they were literally born to run this team. Oh and if those players could take about 65% of their market value so they could make insurance commercials to make up the difference, so much the better.
Anyways, what you say matters less that all that stuff above. Remember how Baker Mayfield was on the Browns and sucked because he supposedly was more interested in doing commercials, meanwhile Mahommes is making more commercials than he was but somehow winning multiple SB titles. The NFL is full of teams that do really well 1 year and then assume they'll be new dynasties, but it just doesn't pan out all that often. So I'm not worried about our lack of humility so much as our 30+ year history of our "employed here because we just happened to be born" front office.
