Trading starters is waiving a flag. Trade capital is limited. For older players, it may be prudent to make picks conditional on performance.
We'd all like to trade our worst players, but not everyone is lining up to give us a BJ Hill for a Billy Price.
OTOH, we see teams like Houston and Philli turning trade picks into gold. If the Bengals really valued our draft picks, why aren't we getting more of them?
My list of trade bait:
Tee (there's no way he's coming back).
Trey (he asked for a trade, teams are always looking for sacks)
Dax Hill (one year left on rookie contract at a position we actually have depth)
Lets not fool ourselves, free agency can't fix this; a big chunk of our free agency money is going to Chase.
