It'll be interesting to see how this team really looks with a full compliment of players. Now is the time to start stacking wins and go on a run with healthy players and a soft schedule. Let's get it.
Bengals play against 2 teams between now and the Bye Week who are under .500, so if the Bengals are trending up, there should be AT LEAST 2 wins over the next 5.
However, to really get back into the playoff fold, they will need to go 3-2 or better.
The big games I see are vs PHI (will Hurts and co. run all over this defense?) and at BAL and LAC.
CLE could also be tough but less worried about it now that even if Chubb is activated for this game, it will be his first game back from serious injury, so he might not get an entirely full load. Also, Cooper traded away helps reduce their effectiveness in the passing game (even though it wasn't very effective anyway).
The "easiest" win I think is the Raiders.
If the Bengals go 3-2, they'll be 5-6 with 2x PIT, DAL, DEN, CLE, and TEN to finish out the season.
3-3 after the Bye should be the minimum expectation.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: 3-5 so far. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
