It is wonderful countryside indeed: my second time there was only for 5+ days, but my uncle and I rented a car and we drove from Milan to Montalcino (and a bunch of places in between) and back. The last day, instead of taking the autostrada, we got lost for 2 hours on vineyard roads and got back to our hotel at 1 am <_<.

3 weeks in Japan was cheaper than 2 weeks in Italy by almost half (at least 1/3) and we did a shit-ton more in Japan than we did in our motherland, so I hear you

And Nate, I've always said that Canada is my home, Italy is in my blood, but Japan is in my heart: I love that country, their culture, the food and everything, just immensely.
