Yeah perhaps, but I do think it sent a message back then when p2w packs were maybe looking like the norm in gaming, and helped stem the tide. So a lot of companies ended up going all out on cosmetic microtransactions instead. At least it seems that way to me, though p2w packs definitely aren't going away anytime soon for some games for sure.
