Revenue not coming in from select sources still matters. NFL owners don’t all get the same profit from NFL branding and TV. The NFL DOES INDEED have a revenue-sharing system in place, which means that all 32 teams share in the league's profits. However, the amount of money that each team receives is not equal. The teams that are more successful on the field tend to receive more money from the league. This is because they are more likely to sell more tickets, merchandise, therefore, broadcast rights. If said tickets, merch, etc. suffer a significant enough hit, that factors in -- especially to billionaires, who want to stay that way, by keeping all available revenue streams open.  Cool
