He pretty much has to be perfect for us to win games most of the time & the bad part is some fans expect him to be. Name another QB in the league that has to do what he does with absolutely no run game. Not Pat, Lamar, Hurts, & I could go on. I can’t believe he does what he does & plays as great as he does. Some is this stuff is ridiculous!
I don't think anyone is particularly down on Burrow, and if they are it is cited as the organization risking squandering him. It just kind of feels like we are getting too close to the Palmer era circa 2009 or so where it's clear that we had the potential to win it all but we're sort of fiddling while Rome is burning.
Burrow can still win it all, but the issue is that this situation is even remotely relatable to the last #1 overall pick QB we took that has people clutching the proverbial pearls.

By my worthless opinion, this franchise didn't do terribly right by Palmer, Dalton, or Burrow. If Burrow voices issues with this, let's just say the Bengals may not get the benefit of the doubt yet again this time in what I see as "strike three." Palmer was a "quitter crybaby" and Dalton was an "over-achieving mid-tier dude" but I think Burrow going down the same not so pleasant path turns the narrative on all 3 in the eyes of many.
Or maybe we just go on a 10+ game winning streak and all is well.
