I mean his wet gunpowder level slow starts are killing this team! He's 4-13-1 in the first 3 games of every season so far in his tenure here. His play calling is suspect to say the least. His in game decisions are very questionable at times.
Drafting in the top rounds has been crap and player development is not happening. In fact even the free agents seem to be getting worse cept for Trey and perhaps one other.
We're 4-6 and on the ledge of dropping off the playoff contention cliff. A loss to the Chargers and barring miracles it will be, and it's all but over. Steelers twice, Broncos, and I just don't see this team (defense) reeling off 6 in a row.
Do you think MB and the brain trust will say, we better go in a new direction before it's too late with Joe Burrow. Or even could JB ask for it? You can see he's not happy during pressers and interviews.
Yes, if he was with any other organization but, no, since he's under contract here. Abandoning the run the way he continually does, head-scratching play calling we've seen time and time and time again and, more importantly, just from his recent comment that he needs to defend Burrow more in regards to officiating. That, my friends, is beyond comprehension.
Let's see, you have a #1 pick playing QB, a top 3-4 QB in the league year in/year out, a player that has led you to a SB and almost another one if not totally eff'ed over by the officials, a guy that has suffered major multiple injuries and, more shockingly, for ZT to say in an interview he probably needs to defend JB more to officials, well, that's a fireable statement ESPECIALLY since we see very reputable and irreputable coaches, week in and week out, get in officials faces when needed and CERTAINLY when one of their star players goes through even half of what Burrow has to go through.
