If you're going to tag him, just franchise him and find a trade partner. Someone will be willing the give up at least a 3rd round pick for him, which is still better than a 2026 comp pick. They just need to swallow their pride and actually accept a deal with another team instead of trying to squeeze every drop they possibly can.
